Meet Our Team

When you walk through the door at Cornerstone, you will find a clean, beautifully modern and spacious environment, thoughtfully designed with separate cat and dog entrances. You will immediately sense the difference when greeted by Karen's genuine smile, kindness and attentiveness. Shortly thereafter, one of our other Veterinary Technicians will escort you into an exam room, discuss your concerns and answer any preliminary questions you may have. After a brief assessment and medical history, Dr. Margadant will introduce herself with her endearing smile and begin building trust with your pet as she gently performs a physical exam. You will find Dr. Margadant knowledgeable, compassionate, thorough, and patient to make sure all your questions and concerns are addressed well.

Dr. Margadant graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. Having worked in the veterinary field since the age of 15, upon graduation, she quickly pursued her life-long dream by practicing veterinary medicine at several small animal hospitals, co-owning and practicing at an Emergency Veterinary Center, and providing relief Veterinary services around the Central Florida area. With the extensive experience and compassion with which Dr. Margadant and her staff approach pet care, you can feel comfortable knowing that your pet will receive excellent care and be treated as if they are our own.

First and foremost, we at Cornerstone Veterinary Center are pet lovers. We are driven by our love for animals and for their happiness and well-being. That is why we partner with local animal rescues and other organizations in the Central Florida area that work hard to care for animals in need. To that end, we also believe in fostering the next generation of veterinary professionals, by mentoring local high school and college students that express an interest in Veterinary Medicine. Don't be surprised if you see a student shadowing Dr. Margadant during one of your visits. She is simply doing what she loves - caring for animals and helping foster that same love in generations to come.
